Read by loyal readers from cover to cover
Western Australia is the only state to have its own dedicated transport publication and since 1994, WA Transport Magazine (WATM) has been servicing the needs of all industries in this state that require transport equipment and services.
WA's transport sector is vast and is comprised of over 90% of local businesses, 'many who are family owned'. The states vast distances of travel require different thinking and different equipment from the other states therefore having a 'local' publication that has 'local' information that is relative to them ensures WATM is read from 'cover to cover' each month.
WATM has a long established readership of over 12,000 'decision makers' per month who include not only this states transport sector but mining, drilling, local government, civil, contracting, agriculture and the many hundreds of businesses who require transport related products and services.
I have been reading WATM for more than a decade. To pick up a magazine and read it from cover to cover, finding every bit of information relevant is indeed an achievement. (Name and address supplied)
The content of the magazine is 'true editorial' with very little commercial content. This includes articles every month from Main Roads HVO and the Department of Mines and Petroleum (Dangerous Goods), Questions to and answered by the Minister for Transport, news on works and infrastructure in the state, history, technology, human interest and the views and opinions of many respected transport operators as well as profiles on WA businesses.
